Ganduje honoured with Most Outstanding Governor in COVID-19 management

Governor of Kano State Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has been honored with an award of the Most Outstanding Governor of the Federation in the Management of COVID-19.
Governor Ganduje was presented with the award by the Nigerian Guild of Medical Directors (GMLD) during its international conference in Abuja.
In a statement released by the Information Officer, ministry of health, Kano Hafizah M. Namadi said the state Commissioner of Health, Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa represented the Governor at the occasion.
Receiving the award on behalf the Governor, Dr. Tsanyawa stated that Kano State government has invested a lot of resources in the fight against COVID-19 while noting that the Governor was wholly committed to improving the healthcare delivery services in the state.
During the award presentation, the Executive Secretary, Private Health Institution Management Agency (PHIMA) Kano State, Dr. Usman Tijjani Aliyu was also presented with the award of Outstanding Performance for the agency’s massive campaign against quackery in the state.
Also in attendance at the international conference was the representative of His Excellency the Vice President of Nigeria who is the DG NCDC, representative of governors of Gombe and Borno states, IGP and the President of GMLD.
