Amidst hike in the price of premium motor spirit (PMS) following the removal of subsidy, an Electric Motor Vehicle Company (EMVC) has unveiled its electric motor vehicles, presenting to the Federal Government an alternative for Nigerians.
The company made the unveiling announcement before the Vice President of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima, and the Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq at an event where the entrepreneur and founder of the company, Prince Mustapha Mona Audu, showcased his innovative creations, marking a significant milestone in Nigeria’s transportation sector.
Audu, known for his passion for technological advancements and commitment to fostering sustainable solutions, expressed his excitement and pride in presenting the “Made in Nigeria” electric vehicles, which he believes will serve as a viable alternative to conventional modes of transportation, particularly in light of recent developments such as the removal of fuel subsidies and the surge in petroleum prices.
In his words, Prince Mustapha Audu said: “We have created the solution to Nigeria’s subsidy removal issues and we stand ready to support the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Administration by providing functional, effective and beneficial solutions to ease the problems.
“These solutions provide additional benefits such as job creation, technology transfer, youth empowerment, wealth creation, reduction in foreign currency demand, reduction of carbon footprint and carbon emissions, access to green funding, meeting Nigeria’s 2060 commitment to Net Zero emissions, saving our planet and so much more.”
The unveiling of EMVC’s electric vehicles has sparked great interest and enthusiasm among Nigerians who are seeking sustainable transportation options.
The vehicles, according to the company, are expected to contribute significantly to reducing the country’s dependence on fossil fuels and mitigating the environmental impact of traditional gasoline-powered cars.
Audu’s EMVC has been at the forefront of electric vehicle research and development in Nigeria, investing heavily in cutting-edge technology and sustainable manufacturing practices.
The company aims to revolutionise the transportation landscape by providing Nigerians with affordable and environmentally friendly electric vehicles.
The Vice President of Nigeria, Shettima, and the Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRazaq, expressed delight with EMVC’s electric vehicles during the unveiling ceremony.
Both dignitaries acknowledged the importance of embracing sustainable transportation solutions to combat rising fuel prices and reduce carbon emissions.
They commended Audu for his visionary leadership and commitment to driving Nigeria towards a greener future.
They both expressed their pride in him and other young Nigerians in different sectors who are distinguishing themselves.
They also assured Nigerians of their Administration’s intentions to include young competent leaders in leadership positions.
With the support of key stakeholders and the government, EMVC’s electric vehicles are expected to gain rapid adoption throughout the country.
This innovative move holds the potential to create job opportunities, stimulate economic growth, and establish Nigeria as a leading hub for electric vehicle manufacturing and technology in Africa.
As the nation looks towards a more sustainable future, Audu and his Electric Motor Vehicle Company are poised to play a pivotal role in reshaping Nigeria’s transportation landscape, offering a greener and more cost-effective alternative to conventional vehicles.
Accroding to the EMVC, the unveiling of the electric vehicles marks a significant milestone in the journey towards a cleaner, more sustainable Nigeria.
