Frank Mba, 21 other CPs screened for promotion to AIG

Erudite police spokesman of repute, Commissioner of Police (CP) Frank Emeka Mba, is among 22 CPs who were screened today March 28th for promotion to the next rank of Assistant Inspector-General (AIG) of Police.

It was reliably learnt that the Police Service Commission (PSC) Plenary took place on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 to peruse the files of the officers and subsequently ratify their promotions, as recommended by the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Alkali Usman Baba.

Reliable sources at Force Headquarters, Louis Edet House Abuja and PSC Federal Secretariat, Abuja, hinted us that, “the Plenary is expected to last till Thursday (March 30th) because the Commission will also discuss disciplinary matters.”

It was also learnt that some of the disciplinary cases against some officers, emanated from the just concluded general elections, where some officers were allegedly found committing professional misconduct.

We also learnt that the PSC Plenary was earlier scheduled for first week of this month March, but was shifted till this week because of the governorship and House of Assembly elections Frank Mba is currently the CP Ogun State Police Command. He was deployed to Ogun in January this year.

Mba graduated from the Nigerian Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) Kuru, Jos last October. His first posting after NIPSS was Border Patrol before being deployed to Ogun State. His promotion is definitely rapid.
