A middle-aged man, Temitope Stephen Bamidele, is the pioneer of Focus Foundation, a charity organisation, whose aims and objectives is to promote security and ensure better life, promote public health and human awareness, to give financial support, liaise with government officials and encouragement job creation and cooperation among members of the society.

He was a target of attack with the intention to kidnap him, by a band of gunmen wielding cutlasses and machetes, on June 2, 2024 at about 16:00 hours when the Focus Foundation members were holding their weekly meeting at No. 20, Oke Ogun Close, a property of Temitope Stephen.

Bamidele swiftly sensed danger and quickly escaped, while several other people were injured, even as damages were done to the building.

This was reported and a police extract obtained to enable him channel the matter to the appropriate office for necessary action.

According to Temitope, “On April 27, 2024 at 17:00hours, a member of the Danialu community vigilante group drove to my shop complex located at 10, Upper Gaa Akanbi beside Agbabiaka Primary School Ilorin with a distressed message in relation to an offence of criminal damage to property with an intention to kidnap my wife and children, whereby they swiftly notified the community vigilante group who averted the plot while the gunmen managed to run away.”

“My wife and children were saved, but the family Rottweiler dog breed was injured and was taken away by the assailants. We were advised to report the incidents to the police which we did; we went to the police immediately to make a report.”
