Five ships are waiting to discharge petrol at Lagos ports — NPA

Five ships are waiting at the Apapa Port in Lagos to discharge petrol and bulk gypsum.

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) stated in its daily “Shipping Position’’ on Monday that 18 other ships at the port were discharging various imports.

The imports are bulk wheat, frozen fish, general cargo containers, bulk sugar, bulk steam coal, automobile gasoline, petrol, and bulk urea.

Meanwhile, 27 other ships also laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected to berth at the port between Aug. 1 and Aug. 20.

The other goods are general cargo, bulk salt, bulk gypsum, bulk urea, frozen fish, bulk wheat, butane gas, base oil, petrol and diesel, the NPA stated.
