Five first class emirs receive Shettima in Jigawa

The All Progressives Congress (APC) vice presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima visited traditional rulers in Jigawa, during which he paid homage to five first class emirs in the state.

Shettima while delivering his speech in Dutse Emirate Council yesterday,  before the Emir of Dutse, Dr Nuhu Muh’d Sunusi, Shettima promised to cartel the menace of insecurity disturbing the country if APC is elected in 2023.

Shettima added that if APC is voted into power in 2023, they will dredge Lake Chad to very minimal level to address the issue of annual flooding which annually destroys farm produce and properties  in the country.

In the area of Agriculture, Shettima promised to improve farming activities in the country by introducing new farming techniques to farmers, explaining further that his administration will address the issue of poverty by creating job opportunities for the teeming youths in the country.

Shettima while expressing his marvellous experience said Dutse Emirate’s  palace is an attractive palace that he has ever visited. Infact, the palace is one of the best palaces in the country, Shetima appreciated.

He therefore charged all traditional title holders in the country to emulate the style of leadership from Dutse Emirate Council.

He described Dutse Emirate as one of the best emirates among the emirates in the nation.

While responding, the Emir of Dutse, Dr Nuhu Muh’d Sunusi said Shettima is their son because of their relationship with Borno Emirate for a long period of time, claiming that Dutse and Borno Emirates have the same root of traditions  .

The Emir added that the founding fathers of Dutse Emirate  are descendants of Ngazargamu from Borno which they usually call Fulato Borno historically, he stated.

He therefore stressed that Shettima is their son because of that relationship between the two emirates, and secondly, that the would be vice president has the quality and capability to lead this country by 2023. According to the emir, Shettima has good image, which qualifies to run for vice presidency of the country.

In furtherance of the visit, Shettima also paid homage to Shakazaure, Ringim, Hadejia and Dutse Emirates, except for Gumel Emirate whose emir was on trip outside the country for medical check-up.
