A school, Sunrise International Nursery and Primary school located at Block B, Area 10, Mene Crescent, Goshen Estate has been razed to ashes by an inferno.
The inferno, according to the proprietor, Mr Mene Sunday Adesina which started at about 6.30pm on 13th August, 2022 burnt down properties worth millions of naira.
According to an officer of Aregbe Divisional Police headquarters, Aregbe, the Chairman Board of Trustees, Mr Mene, Stephen Ayodele and Miss Mene, Motunrayo Elizabeth were both in the school premises during the inferno and burnt to ashes.
The police said the school building, furniture, electronics in all the classrooms and other valuables were razed by the inferno.
According to police investigation, a suspect, name withheld, was threatening Mr Mene Sunday Adesina on phone before the incident.
The police said the caller target was centered on destroying the economic interest and entire family who owns the school.
The police said investigation is ongoing to unravel the perpetrators.
