The General Manager, Osun State Emergency Management Agency, Engr. Tajudeen Adabanija has advised residents of the State to desist from any act that may likely cause fire outbreak.

According to Engr Adabanija, the residents must abstain from acts such as incessant burning of bush, buying and keeping of petrol in the house, carelessness in the handling of cooking gas, refusal to unplug unused electronic appliances (both in the office and at homes), gas leakages, irregular electrical supplies, which can cause fire incidence.

Engr, Adabanija stressed further that the lives and properties of the citizens of Osun are important to Governor Gboyega Oyetola.

Noting that prevention is better than cure, he said, “All and sundry should take cognizance of the fact that the prevailing dry season is notorious for diverse fire disasters and take necessary precautionary measures to prevent it.”
