A fire erupted at the Katsina State Government House on Monday morning, consuming the esteemed Red Chamber, a key component of the governor’s office where important meetings with distinguished guests and stakeholders are frequently held.
During the blaze, heroic efforts by firefighting teams were underway to control the flames and mitigate further damage.
Although the exact cause of the fire remains undetermined, authorities are diligently investigating to uncover the source and assess the damage done to the facility.
In a related incident, fire broke out at the Lagos State Government Staff Quarters on Odunsanmi Street, off WEMPCO Road, Ogba area, reported last Friday. The blaze began in a section of a three-story building at the quarters around 2:20 am. According to a statement from Nosa Okunbor of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) Public Affairs Unit, the fire was caused by an electrical fault in the children’s room.
