FG Survival Fund: 3,000 MSMEs get free CAC certification in Nasarawa

A total of  3,000 Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Nasarawa  State have benefited from the free  Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) registration under the Federal Government’s Survival Fund.

Nasarawa State governor, Abdullahi Sule made the disclosure during the presentation of business registration certificates to owners of the MSMEs on Tuesday in Lafia.

Sule was represented by Mr Ibrahim Abdullahi, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Nasarawa State Investment and Development Agency at the presentation ceremony.

The Federal Government MSMEs Survival Fund Programme is part of the Economic Sustainability plan aimed at supporting and protecting businesses from the potential vulnerabilities brought by the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.

Sule said that the FG survival fund programme was in line with the state’s Economic Development Strategy (NEDS) aimed at promoting small businesses and the private sector.

“We are delighted that the federal government has come up with the survival fund programme which is also inline with Governor Sule’s NEDS programme.

“The state government see the FG survival fund as an opportunity to leverage and do more for the people of the state.

“We are here to serve the people, any federal government initiative coming to the state, we must ensure that the people benefit,” he said.

The governor, therefore, called on the people of the state to continue to apply for the MSMEs Survival Fund Programme to enable their businesses grow to greater heights.

On his part, Mr Garba Hassan, the programme focal person in the state, urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the opportunity to grow their businesses.
