FG should provide palliative measures for Nigerians—PDP member, Ewenla

Due to the recent increase in Coronavirus Index around the globe, a political guru under the aegis of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) makes recommendations on how Nigeria can curb the wide spread of the virus in the country.

The PDP guru, Prince (Dr.) Adedipe Ewenla while reacting to the containment effort of Lagos State government, said “His Excellency Babajide Sanwo-Olu has tried his best but what I’ve been expecting from him is quiet different.

“What I’ve been expecting from him is that our inter-state border with other state should  be properly monitored by not allowing people coming in and out of the state without proper screening because some people are coming from far places like Ogun State, some might even be coming from outside the country (African Country) which they might have been exposed to the virus.”

However, while reacting to social gathering enforcement, Ewenla said, “The total banning of social gathering and market is 100per cent okay and I’m full satisfied with that because the virus we are talking about is a deadly one.”

Furthermore, while reacting to the former President Goodluck Jonathan view on COVID-19 combat, he said, “I’m expecting from our leaders is that they should support the Federal Government in funding.

“Just like Atiku who is a PDP presidential candidate of our last election but donated N50million as an intervention fund to combat Coronavirus and this are what I’m expecting from so many people.”

While reacting to stay-at-home order, Ewenla said, “I think the Federal Government should fund it’s citizens through there Bank Verification Number (BVN) because staying at home without working is not easy.”

“I’ll employ us all to stay safe, stay indoor and practice excellent hygiene and also stay healthy, contact your loved ones and check up on them and may God see us through this hard time,” he said.
