FG pledges disbursement of remaining 50% funds to Edo Medical Team – Minister

The Minister of State, Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Agba on Monday has pledged disbursement of the remaining 50% funds to Edo Medical Team.

The Minister made this known when he visited the Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital (ISTH), where he was received by the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Sylvanus Okogbenin, and top management staff members.

As part of his assignment, he undertook a tour of the hospital’s facilities and equipment and reassured the team of the disbursement of the remaining 50% funds to bring all ongoing projects to timely completion.

The Chief Medical Director applauded the Government of Nigeria for its support which has further strengthened the hospital’s capacity and capability to handle COVID-19, Lassa fever and other infectious diseases.

Agba inaugurated the Uromi Road.

In his own words, “On behalf of His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, (GCFR), I inaugurated, on Monday, the Uromi Road Rehabilitation & Erosion Control Works at Okhele and Gully Erosion Works at National Institute of Construction Technology, Uromi (Phase I) in Esan North-East LGA, Edo State, which I handed.

“The completion of this project further underscores The Nigeria Government’s concerted effort and sincerity of purpose in tackling the problems of its citizens and making life more meaningful for them.”

After the inauguration, he paid a courtesy visit to the palace of the Ojuromi of Uromi Kingdom, HRH Zaiki Anslem O. Edonojie II, JP, MFR.
