FG extends tenure of DG NISER

The Federal Government has approved the extension of tenure in office of the director general of Nigeria Institute Of social and Economic research(NISER), Dr Gbadebo Smith.

In statement made available to journalists, the Director of Information Office of the Honourable Minister of State for Budget and National planning, Hassan Dodo, stated the extension is in accordance with the extant provisions of the latest edition (2019) of conditions of service for federal research and development agencies/Institutions and colleges for completion of one single term of five years.

He revealed the extension took effect from 31st May, 2021 and expressesed the congratulations of the Honourable Minister of state, Budget and National planning to the reappointed Director General.
