Federal lawmaker kick-starts solar powered street lights-up projects in Epe

Mr Wale Raji, Member, Federal House of Representatives, representing Epe Federal Constituency, Lagos, has commenced the solar powered street lights-up project across his constituency.

Raji disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), in Epe, on Wednesday.

Raji, also Chairman, House Services Committee, said the installation of the street lights up projects had commenced from Itoikin area of Epe Division down to every other part of the communities under its federal constituents.

He said that the project is meant to light up dark spots around the communities, increase social and economic activities and reduce criminal activities in various benefiting communities.

The federal lawmaker urged community leaders and residents of the various communities to take ownership of the lights and other government infrastructure to prevent vandalism.

He said that the project and other numerous ones he had facilitated were meant to enhance the quality of lives of the people, and should not be destroyed.

Raji said he had also facilitated the reconstruction of the Ode-Omi, Igbogun, Ise bad roads.

He said that the contractor would soon move to site and the reconstruction of the deplorable road project would commence immediately.

“The contract has been awarded, we are waiting for the contractor to move to the site and commence work.

“This and many more are the community projects we have facilitated and we are committed to do more,” he said.

Raji assured the people of Epe federal constituency of quality representation.
