Tension has gripped the Ajiran community in Agungi Area, Lekki, Lagos State, following the assassination of Prince Demola Akinloye, the first son of Ojomu of Ajiran land, Tijani Akinloye.

The incident occurred on Monday along Chevron Drive, close to Ebano Supermarket, according to a source who spoke on condition of anonymity.

The community is being deserted due to the tension created by the killing.

A notice from the management of an estate in the community confirmed the incident and appealed to residents to avoid the Chevron, Agungi, and Ajiran areas for their safety.

The Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, said he was not privy to the matter but assured that he would brief our correspondent when he gets the information.
