The operatives of the FCT Police Command has arrested two suspected armed robbers who have been terrorizing people along Galadinmawa-Durumi axis.
The command revealed that the arrest was carried out acting on credible intelligence.
According to the FCT command spokesperson ASP Yusuf Mariam, the suspect were arrested by Police Operatives of Galadinmawa Division.
He gave details of the suspects as Bello Waziri 24, and Yusuf Ali, 21, both male.
Yusuf further revelead that the suspects were caught in the act, and said to have confessed to being members of a three-man syndicate responsible for snatching motorcycles from unsuspecting riders at night.
“The suspects further stated that they use a hammer to hit their victims leaving them unconscious before taking their motorcycles. Effort is emplace to arrest the fleeing suspect,” PPRO said.
The PPRO said, exhibits recovered from the suspects includes; four (4) hammers, one (1) motorcycle and one (1) blue colour Toyota Corolla.
“The suspects, will be arraigned in court upon conclusion of Investigation,” she said.
The Command Commissioner, CP Bala Ciroma implored the residents to report all suspicious movements, emergency or distress, to nearest Police Stations.
