FCT begins 2nd COVID-19 vaccination for Hajj pilgrims

Intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia from the Federal Capital Territory are to take their second dose of COVID-19 vaccination from Monday 31st May 2021.
Director FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board (FCT-MPWB), Mallam Muhammad Nasiru DanMallam, gave the assurances of the FCT Administration in ensuring that intending pilgrims fulfill all requirements for this year’s Hajj exercise.
Dan Mallam said that the Health Secretariat of the FCTA has provided enough vaccines that would be administered to the intending pilgrims from Abuja in line with the requirements for this year’s Hajj by Saudi Arabia.
The director said the exercise would be carried out at the headquarters of the board with intending pilgrims who register at the headquarters on Monday May 31, 2021 and Tuesday June 1, 2021. Intending pilgrims from the six area councils of the FCT will take their jabs between June 2 and June 9, 2021.
He said that inoculation exercise is an obligation that needed to be fulfilled to meet up with traveling requirements to the kingdom of Saudi Arabia while giving the assurance that the board is working hard to make all necessary arrangement for the religious exercise while waiting for further directives on the 2021 Hajj from relevant authorities.
