Fayemi congratulates Ekiti AG, Fapohunda, Senator Adeniyi, others on elevation as SANs

Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi has congratulated the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Wale Fapohunda and a former member of the National Assembly, Senator Tony Adeniyi, on their elevation to the prestigious position of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), describing it as a remarkable achievement.
Dr Fayemi, in a congratulatory message in Ado-Ekiti, said the senior lawyers merited the elevation having paid their dues in the legal profession where they have posted excellent records over the years.
He said their elevation was a product of years of diligence and devotion to their profession of choice, part of the values for which Ekitis are known.
The Governor hailed the Attorney General for several innovations he had introduced to the office which has led to a remarkable turnaround in the administration of justice in the state, a development that continue to impact positively on the people’s lives.
He added that he was convinced that Fapohunda’s elevation as a silk would further enrich the judicial system in the state.
Hailing Senator Adeniyi, Governor Fayemi said the elevation of the former Senator who represented Ekiti South Senatorial District between 2011 and 2015 is a welcome development.
He described the former lawmaker as a legal practitioner of repute who is worthy of the new rank.
The Governor also congratulated others who made the list of 72 eminent lawyers that got elevated as SANs, urging them to use their new status to ensure the enthronement of justice and fairness in the country.
“I congratulate Barrister Fapounda, our indefatigable Attorney General and our distinguished Senator Adeniyi on their elevation as SANs. This couldn’t have come at a better time than now when the State is in a celebration mood, commemorating the 25th anniversary of the creation of Ekiti State.
“Both Fapounda and Adeniyi are distinguished Ekiti sons who rose to the top of their professional callings by dint of hard work and commitment to professionalism. Their elevation is thus a reward for their diligence. This, I believe would also spur our young ones to dare to dream and work for the realisation of their dreams,” the Governor said.
