FAAN MD champions technological integration for African airports’ growth at ACI

Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Managing Director, Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, actively advocated integrating cutting-edge technology at the 71st ACI Africa Board Meeting.

In Cairo, Egypt, from February 24th to March 1st, 2024, she engaged in collaborative discussions on various technological advancements.

The conference theme, ‘Airports: Levers of Socioeconomic and Sustainable Growth,’ facilitated interactions among African airports and global stakeholders.

Mrs. Kuku prioritised discussions on biometric screening, advanced baggage handling, and digital passenger services for superior passenger experiences.

She emphasised enhancing passenger services and air connectivity through technological integration and personalized experiences.

Recognising the dynamic financial landscape, Mrs. Kuku explored strategies for revenue diversification, including non-aeronautical avenues like retail and real estate.

She actively participated in sessions focusing on governance, regulatory frameworks, and strategic directions for airports across Africa.

Discussions centered on post-COVID transformations, shaping the future of aviation excellence and development.
