The former governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel on Thursday at Omu-Ajose, in Odogbolu local government unveils a new office for Gateway Movement, a charity organisation whose mission he said was to principally advance the cause of humanity and make life more pleasant for the residents of the state.

Otunba Gbenga Daniel who was the governor of the state from 2003 to 2011 declared that the foundation from time to time in collaboration with Gateway Front Foundation (GFF) will bring succour to the people. The event had in attendance several APC members who came from the nine local governments making up the senatorial district.

The former governor who is eyeing the seat of Ogun east senatorial district come next year disclosed that he would certainly use his opportunity of being at the red chamber to bring unfettered development to every nook and cranny of nine local governments in the senatorial district.

Daniel said “the commissioning of this Omu-Ajose office of Gateway Movement is about rekindling hope, it’s about selfless service, it’s about helping one another to move the State and the country forward and I will certainly be glad if all of us can buy into this vision. This is a movement that will bring so much development and ensure that everyone is happy”.

The former governor lauded Gov Abiodun for his giant strides across the state as well as his promise to help reconstruct Omu/Ala road urging the people to keep supporting the ruling APC in the state.

The foundation thereafter gave out scholarship to ten indigent students of the state studying at the various tertiary institutions in the country.

Each of the students were presented with N100,000 cheques while wheel chairs were also presented to some physically challenged at the occasion.

It would be recalled that the former governor fondly called OGD was instrumental to the success of Gov Dapo Abiodun at the poll in 2019 and had since joined APC from PDP.
