An Osogbo Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday sentenced a 40-year-old man, Saheed Isola to one-year imprisonment for stealing block mould.
Police prosecutor, ASP Fagboyinbo Abiodun told the court that the convict committed the offence on October 14, 2020, at about 5:00 am at Lameco area Osogbo.
Fagboyinbo alleged that the convict unlawfully entered to one shop and stole 9inches block mould valued N40,000 and 6inches block mould valued N30,000 total sum of N70,000 property of one Moshood Ishola.
He said the offence committed contrary to and punishable under section 413 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol ll Law of Osun State 2020.
The convict who had no legal representation admitted guilty to the offence slammed against him.
It was learnt in the court that the convict has been convicted sometime in the year 2019 by Osogbo Magistrate court 7 of stealing case and was sentenced to community service in which the convict confirmed it that he’s an ex-convict.
The presiding Magistrate, Opeyemi Badmus, after listening to the fact presented by the police sentenced the convict to one-year imprisonment without an option of fine.
