Ex-ANAN President tasks Tinubu on equitable distribution of wealth

A former President, Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Dr Samuel Nzekwe, has advised the President-elect, Sen. Bola Tinubu, to work  toward equitable distribution of wealth across the country.

Nzekwe gave the advice while speaking  in Ota, Ogun on Wednesday in reaction to the just-concluded Presidential and National Assembly Elections held on Feb. 25.

The former ANAN president stressed the need for the president-elect to distribute wealth equally so that everyone could feel the sense of belonging.

“Some people are feeling that they are not treated as part of the country due to inequality of wealth.

“There is the need for the incoming government to run an inclusive government so as to bring all Nigerians together,” he said.

Nzekwe appealed to Tinubu to correct the mistakes of the past that were causing security challenges in the country.

He emphasised the need to tackle security issues, saying that no foreign investor would be willing to invest in an unsafe environment.

Nzekwe noted that addressing insecurity problems would help farmers to go back to farms and boost food sufficiency in the country.

The Accountant urged the president-elect to further make efforts to fight corruption, saying that the government should be transparent.

Nzekwe also called on the incoming government to work on critical infrastructure to back economic development in the country.
