Europa League: Erik ten Hag has said his side failed to control the game as they drew 1-1 with Fenerbahce in the Europa League

Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, has said his side failed to control the game, as they drew 1-1 with Fenerbahce in the Europa League on Thursday.

The Red Devils took the lead through Christian Eriksen in the first half, but the Turkish club equalized through Youssef En Neysri after the break.

There were no further goals in the game as both sides shared the points.

The result also means United are yet to win a single game in the competition, having drawn all three fixtures against Twente, FC Porto and Fenerbahce.

“We should keep the ball better in the first half,” Ten Hag told reporters.

“We should score more goals but to be honest they also created good chances. They gave us some problems. They are a good team with a good manager.

“It is not a bad point. But we want to win. We want to win every game.”
