Alhaji Abubakar Usman, Secretary to the Niger Government (SSG), says Etsu Nupe Yahaya Abubakar has used his throne to reposition the Nupe over the years
He made the observation in Minna on Thursday when he felicitated Etsu Yahaya on his 72nd birthday.
He said that the Estu Nupe ascension to the throne had brought glamour, candour, respect, and dignity to traditional institutions.
“His commitment to peace, love for his subjects, and deliberate efforts to position the Nupe kingdom socially, economically and culturally, among many others were worthy of emulation.
“I join the entire people of Niger and the Nupe kingdom to thank God for His enduring mercies on the Etsu Nupe over the years” he said
