ETI to hold board meeting over Q3 audited results

The management of Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) has announced on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) of holding board meeting on its third quarter audited result and accounts for period ended September 30, 2021.

Company Secretary, ETI, Madibinet Cisse in a statement on Wednesday said, “We write to advise the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), shareholders of ETI and all stakeholders that the Board of Directors of ETI shall hold a board meeting on December 2, 2021to consider the 3rd Quarter Accounts of ETI for the period ended September 30, 2021 currently being audited.

“In compliance with the Rule 17.18(a) of the NGX Listing Rules 2015 as amended, a closed period started from October 1, 2021 and will continue until 24 hours after the outcome of the board meeting and publication of the Audited Accounts on the NGX..

“During the closed period, no insider including Directors, employees and interested parties of ETI or its affiliates may deal directly or indirectly with ETI shares..”

The management of ETI had notified the Exchange of releasing its audited third quarter (Q3) ended September 30, 2021 on or before December 7, 2021.

The Group Chief Financial Officer, ETI, Ayo Adepoju in a statement said, “ETI, the parent company of the Ecobank Group, the leading pan-African banking group with banking operations in 34 countries, notifies the general public that it is currently auditing the 2021 third quarter Financial Results of the Ecobank Group for the period ended September 30, 2021.

“The Board and Management of Ecobank Transnational Incorporated took the decision to audit the 2021 Third Quarter Financial Results of the Ecobank Group. Consequently, the Audited Results will be published in compliance with the provisions of Section 1.1.3 of the Rules for Filling of Accounts and Treatment of Default Filing, Rule Book of The Nigeria Exchange Limited which states that “An Issuer that chooses, in addition, to audit its quarterly accounts shall file such accounts not later than 60 calendar days after the relevant quarter, and publish it within five business days after the date of filing.”

“Having duly notified the Nigerian Exchange, the Management of ETI wishes to notify the market and general public of its expectation to publish the audited 2021 Third Quarter Financial Results on or before 7 December 2021.”
