Ethiopian Airlines to increase Lagos service to twice daily starting July 1
Africa’s leading airline, Ethiopian Airlines, has announced plans to increase its Lagos service to twice daily, with 14 weekly flights, beginning on July 1.
Mrs. Firiehiwot Mekonnen, the airline’s Area Manager in Nigeria, confirmed the development in a statement issued earlier this week.
The additional flights are set to offer passengers faster connections to a variety of destinations across Africa and Asia. Mekonnen explained that the increase in flight frequency would shorten overall travel times, providing more efficient and convenient travel options for passengers.
She revealed that the new schedule will include four evening flights at 10:00 p.m. and three early morning departures at 5:40 a.m. The existing midday flight will remain unchanged, while the new services will operate at different times.
“We are pleased to offer our customers more flight options from Lagos. These additional services will improve the customer experience and help reduce travel costs for our passengers,” Mekonnen stated.
The 10:00 p.m. flight, ET 902, will depart Lagos and arrive in Addis Ababa at 5:20 a.m., offering connections to destinations such as Dubai, São Paulo, Tel Aviv, and others.
Meanwhile, the 5:40 a.m. flight, ET 904, will arrive in Addis at 1:00 p.m. and provide connections to cities like Dubai, São Paulo, Tel Aviv, and Mumbai.
