Equities market drops slightly by 0.02%

Transaction on the Nigerian exchange limited (NGX) closed slightly profile yesterday, the slide was occasioned by loss in prestige, Chams, Npfmcrfbk,NIGERINS and others.

At the close of marketing activities yesterday, the NGX ASI declined by 11.21 basis points representing 0.02 per cent to close at 46,766.16 index points from 46,777.37 index points it closed for previous trading.

Similarly, the overall market capitalisation dropped by N6 billion to close at N25.212 trillion.

The total trade volume dropped yesterday by 16 per cent from 257,413,873 million units it closed on Tuesday to 261,592,386 million units it closed yesterday valued by N 2.434 billion and exchange in 4,668 deals.

On the losers table Regalins came as the overall gainer which appreciated by 10 per cent or 0.03kobo increased to close trade at N9.33 per share, Livestock followed as the second best gainer which rose by 9.59 per cent or 0.14 kobo increased to close trade at N1.60 per share. Multiverse grew by 0.02 kobo representing 9.52 per cent increase to close trade at N0.23 per share, While Meyer  rose by 0.08 kobo increased to close trade at N0.94 per share and LINKASSURE which appreciated by 0.04 kobo to represent 8.51per cent increased to close trade at N0.51 per share.

On the losers table, NPFMCRFBK was the overall losers which declined by 0.22 kobo to represent 9.78 per cent to close trade at N2.03 per share, While the second best loser RTBRISCOE down by 8.93 per cent or 0.05 kobo to close trade at N0.51 per share. Prestige which recorded as the third best loser depreciated by 0.04 kobo representing 8.16 per cent to close trade at N0.45 per share, Chams  and Nigerins  dipped by  0.01 kobo to close trade at N0.20 per share respectively.

On the table chart,Since the opening of the week Fidelity bank has emerged as highest trader for two days consecutively which traded 81.749 million shares worth 281.149 millions. Followed by TRANSCORP which emerged as the second best trader transacted 30.722 million shares valued at 30.106 million, While Guarantee trust holding company traded 15.490 million shares valued 345.605 millions.

ACCESSCORP traded 15.258 million shares valued at 148.833 millions and lastly Zenith bank was the last trader and transacted 10.002 millions share valued at 227.331 millions.
