EPL: We’ve conducted thorough investigation – Man Utd on Greenwood’s future
Manchester United’s COO, Collette Roche, has given an update on investigations that would determine Mason Greenwood’s future at Old Trafford.
Speaking to The Athletic, she stated that the Red Devils have performed a “detailed and thorough internal investigation” following his dropped criminal charges.
Greenwood has not played for the club since he was arrested in January 2022 for attempted rape, assault and coercive control.
But the player had his charges dropped in February this year and awaits the verdict from United over his return.
“We’ve done a really detailed and thorough internal investigation and we’ve asked as many people as we can around what happened and try to understand it beyond the original investigation done by the police.
“You’d expect us to engage with people who were relevant in terms of stakeholder groups.
“And now we just need to make the decision. That decision is firmly a decision that’s on us,” Roche said.
