EPL: Ten Hag reveals two players who caused Man Utd’s bad form
Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, has rued the absence of Christian Eriksen and Casemiro in recent weeks.
Ten Hag said it is one of the main reasons why the team has struggled for results as matches are “decided in midfield”.
Eriksen was ruled out for up to three months in January due to an ankle injury while Casemiro is serving a four-match ban after picking up his second red card of the season.
The Red Devils have lost four of their eight league fixtures without Casemiro compared to three in 19 matches when he had been in the team.
“They’re two quality players in the midfield department, games will always be decided in midfield.
“So when you miss two quality players, it’s clear. But you have a squad, if you don’t have them you still have to win,” Ten Hag told reporters today ahead of their clash against Brentford at Old Trafford.
