Manchester United interim manager, Ralf Rangnick has identified Anthony Elanga as Anthony Martial’s replacement in his team.
Martial is being linked with a move away from Old Trafford.
Despite the 26-year-old making just four starts this season, no one in the current United squad has scored more goals than him during his time at the club.
The UK Telegraph reports that the 19-year-old Elanga is set to be rewarded with a new long-term contract, having impressed Rangnick in training.
Elanga, who has been with the Red Devils since 2014, but broke through under former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the back end of last season.
The Sweden youth international scored his first goal in the Premier League just 13 minutes into his second start, netting a decisive header in the 1-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on the final day.
