EPL: Mikel Obi calls out five Chelsea players over performances

Former Chelsea midfielder John Mikel Obi has called out five Blues players over their performances for the team so far this season.

The five players are Marc Cucurella, Armando Broja, Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo and Nicolas Jackson.

This comes after Chelsea’s recent Premier League 2-0 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park over the weekend.

Mikel Obi was not impressed with what he saw from Chelsea against Everton, saying Cucurella and Broja are not up to par with his old club.

The former Nigerian international, who expressed his doubt over Jackson, also wants to see more from Fernandez and Caicedo

“Cucurella is not Chelsea standard. We need to see more from Caicedo and Enzo – two really good players who need time. Broja is not at the Chelsea level,” the retired footballer said in his latest Podcast episode.

“I have my doubts on Jackson. We need a striker. Victor Osimhen would give us goals when he comes to Chelsea.”
