EPL: Man City players to be paid £2million each if they win Treble

Manchester City’s top players will be paid over £2million in bonuses each if they achieve a historic Treble this season.

Pep Guardiola’s side will play in the Champions League semi-finals for the third consecutive season.

City qualified after defeating Bayern Munich 4-1 on aggregate on Wednesday.

They will now face Sheffield United in the FA Cup semi-finals on Saturday, before a big Premier League home fixture with Arsenal in midweek.

The defending champions currently sit four points behind Arsenal with a game in hand.

The last team to win three titles in a row was Manchester United in 2009.

Mail Sport reports that City’s bonus system is structured on an individual basis, rather than being an agreed amount that is shared among the squad.

Bonuses for winning the league title range from £200,000 to £900,000, while the money on offer for lifting the FA Cup is less.

Leading players, including Kevin De Bruyne will receive payouts in the region of £1m for delivering a first Champions League trophy for the club.
