EPL: Isak’s decision on planned move to Arsenal revealed

Real Sociedad forward, Alexander Isak has decided not to leave the club to join Arsenal this January transfer window.

Arsenal has been linked with a move for Isak this January transfer window, but the 22-year-old is reportedly intent on seeing out the season at Real Sociedad.

Recall that Fiorentina forward, Dusan Vlahovic, had been identified as Arsenal’s main target upfront at the start of the transfer window, but the Serbian is poised to join Juventus in a £67 million deal.

The Gunners were, therefore, forced to focus on alternatives and set their sights on a possible deal for Isak, who has scored eight goals in all competitions for Real Sociedad so far this season.

However, according to Mundo Deportivo, Arsenal is set for yet more disappointments this January transfer, given that Isak will ‘100%’ be remaining at Real Sociedad.

The Spanish newspaper added that Isak has ‘no plans to change scenery’ midway through the campaign.

Isak’s mindset could change in the summer should Real Sociedad fail to secure qualification for the Champions League.
