EPL: He’ll score load of goals – Glenn Hoddle begs Chelsea to sign Man Utd target

Chelsea legend, Glenn Hoddle, has urged his former club to sign Manchester United target, Victor Osimhen, this summer.

Hoddle said Osimhen would score a load of goals should he join Chelsea ahead of Man United this summer transfer window.

Osimhen, who currently plays for Serie A leaders Napoli, has been linked with a move to Man United this summer.

And Hoddle believes the Nigerian international would be the only player the Blues need to sign this summer.

“They [Chelsea] do need a No.9, they do need a goalscorer,” Hoddle told Premier League Productions.

“But I will tell you what, whoever comes in as a new manager for this squad, normally you would say when a new manager comes in, he is going to want to bring some of his own players in. I think he only needs a No.9, I think everything [else] is there.

“You need someone who you think is going to score 20 goals for you, a fox in the box, someone who wants to be in that area where they are creating so much.

“But that is the only player I think they need – they have got everything else.”

Asked if Osimhen could be the answer to Chelsea’s issues, Hoddle added: “Without a doubt, he is number one, but there are a few clubs after him.

“But if you put him in a Chelsea shirt, he’ll score a load of goals.”

Osimhen has been impressive for Napoli so far this season.

He is currently the Serie A top goal scorer with 21 goals.

The 24-year-old has four goals in the Champions League so far this term.
