EPL: Cristiano Ronaldo told to leave Manchester United after interview with Morgan
Manchester United legend, Teddy Sheringham, has called on forward Cristiano Ronaldo to leave the club immediately following his bombshell exclusive interview with British veteran journalist, Piers Morgan.
Sheringham said Ronaldo’s body language at Manchester United this season has not been great.
Ronaldo recently did an exclusive interview with Morgan and hit out at Man United and their head coach Erik ten Hag.
The 37-year-old said the Old Trafford club had betrayed him and that he doesn’t respect Ten Hag.
Following his interview, Manchester United released a statement on Monday regarding the development.
However, Sheringham believes it is definitely time for Ronaldo, who is now preparing for the 2022 FIFA World Cup with his Portuguese teammates, to leave Old Trafford.
“He’s using words like ‘disrespected’ and him disrespecting the manager. When you come out with these things, there are going to be a lot of unhappy Man United supporters this morning reading all this,” Sheringham told Daily Mail.
“It’s definitely, definitely, time for him to go now.
“There’s no turning back. He should have gone at the start of the season, he didn’t, they tried to work with it.
“Obviously, his body language hasn’t been great – I think he needs to go now.”
