EPL: Chelsea refuse to give shirt numbers to three players
Chelsea have decided not to give shirt numbers to at least three members of their first-team squad.
The players are Romelu Lukaku, Hakim Ziyech, and Callum Hudson-Odoi.
The trio is expected to leave Stamford Bridge for new clubs this summer.
This was confirmed by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Romano tweeted on Tuesday: “No official shirt number for Hakim Ziyech, Romelu Lukaku, and Callum Hudson-Odoi.
“Chelsea expect all of them to leave the club in the next [few] weeks.”
Lukaku is in talks with Juventus, while Hudson-Odoi could sign for Fulham. Ziyech’s future is in limbo after his move to Saudi Arabia fell through.
