EPL: Alejandro Garnacho mentions three Man Utd players who helped him settle at Old Trafford

Manchester United youngster, Alejandro Garnacho, has mentioned Lisandro Martinez, David de Gea and Bruno Fernandes as the Red Devils players who helped him to settle into life in the first team at the club.

Garnacho is tipped for a bright future at Man United after he signed a new five-year deal with the Premier League giants on Friday.

The 18-year-old has not played since March 12 after suffering an ankle injury in their goalless draw against Southampton, but he returned to training last week.

“From the very first day that I went into the dressing room, they have really treated me just like one of the lads,” Garnacho told MUTV.

“I am the youngest guy out of all that squad, and so players like Lisandro Martinez who is like – well, I say around here that he is like my dad.

“He treats me like my dad, when he needs to tell me off, he does, and when I do well, he tells me that I have. He always tries to help me with everything.

“Then you’ve players like Bruno [Fernandes] who is quite close to me. He helps with everything that he can. I am also good friends with De Gea, we speak the same language and he is a player who I am very close to and we get on very well together. They all help me quite a lot.”
