Epe LG Chairman refutes financial misconduct allegations, reaffirms dedication to development

The Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun, has reiterated her steadfast commitment to advancing developmental projects and enhancing the well-being of residents within the council.

Addressing recent allegations of financial mismanagement circulating against her, Princess Animashaun dismissed the claims as unfounded, stressing that her administration adheres to the highest principles of transparency, accountability, and prudent financial governance.

She challenged those spreading the accusations to produce credible evidence of any wrongdoing, describing the allegations as a calculated attempt to divert attention from her administration’s ongoing legacy projects that directly benefit the people of Epe.

“I urge the public to disregard these baseless assertions, which are intended to mislead residents and create unnecessary discord. My administration remains resolute in its mission to drive progress and improve the quality of life for our people,” she stated.

Princess Animashaun underscored some of her administration’s key achievements, including the construction and rehabilitation of roads, the renovation of public buildings, and the installation of streetlights to bolster security and facilitate movement.

“We have strengthened primary healthcare facilities by equipping them with modern technology and enhancing services to ensure residents receive quality medical care. Our administration has also overseen the renovation of schools, the provision of essential learning materials, and empowerment initiatives for both students and teachers.

“Additionally, we have implemented skill acquisition programmes, provided entrepreneurial support for small-scale businesses, and introduced various initiatives aimed at fostering economic growth and self-reliance among residents,” she added.

Princess Animashaun reaffirmed her dedication to good governance, pledging to continue executing impactful projects that will further accelerate the development of Epe Local Government.
