A kidnap attempt was made on Mr. Kelvin Jacobs Emokhor who lives with his family at Zone A, Pegi community, Kuje, Abuja on Sunday 14th May, 2023 around 7:30pm. He was coming back from work on a tricycle, when suddenly, some people ran in their direction shouting, “go back, there are kidnappers ahead.” Hearing gunshots, he ran into the bush, then climbed a tree and stayed there overnight.
He reported this incident to the Kuje Police station the next day, Monday 15th May, 2023. On the said day, several people were injured, one feared dead, while about 7 persons were kidnapped, including children and taken to an unknown location.
So far, Mr. Kelvin has been fortunate to have escaped being kidnapped twice on his way back from work around the Pegi community in the Kuje area of Abuja, where he lives with his family.
