The Ekiti United Football Club has resumed training following the cancellation of the three weeks mid-season break in the Nigeria National League (NNL).
Coach of the club, Ayodeji Ayeni, disclosed this to newsmen shortly after the training on Wednesday in Ado-Ekiti.
Ayeni said that the team had immediately resumed training at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ado-Ekiti to prepare for its match against 3SC of Ibadan.
“We are here on Wednesday morning to commence training in preparation for our next big clash in the NNL as the organisers have said there will not be room for mid-week break.
”The three weeks break had earlier been scheduled to be between April 10 and April 23,
”Ekiti United’s next match in the NNL is against the table topping Shooting Stars of Ibadan,” the Coach said.
Report says that the Ekiti United FC, also known as ‘the JKF Boys’ will travel to Ijebu-Ode, Ogun, the adopted home ground of 3SC, on April 24.
Ekiti United FC match comes up on April 25, at the Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu Ode, Ogun.
The Wednesday training featured a full squad, with all players in good shape.
