Ekiti plans 4 tournaments to boost tennis

Ekiti Government has put in place plans to organise four tennis tournaments in the state in order to boost the sport.

The Ekiti Tennis Association disclosed this on Monday in Ado-Ekiti, through its twitter handle.

According to the association, the Ekiti Open Junior Tennis Tournament, sponsored by Dayak Academy of Abuja, will come up between March 27 and March 30.

The Maj.-Gen. Adeyinka Adebayo Memorial South-West Tennis Masters will come up between May 17 and May 21.

It is to be sponsored by the Minister of Trade and Investment, Niyi Adebayo, who is also a former governor of Ekiti.

The association stated further that the JKF South-West Junior Tennis Tournament, sponsored by VOKI Academy, will hold between May 27 and May 30.

Also, the South-West All-Female Tennis Tournament, sponsored by SEBI Foundation, will come up between Sept. 27 and Oct. 1.

“All these tournaments are to be played at the Ekiti Tennis Centre in Ado-Ekiti,” the association added.
