Ekiti: Alawe urges Gov Oyebanji to fix failed portion of Ilawe-Ado road

The Alawe of Ilawe Ekiti Kingdom, HRM, Oba Adebanji Ajibade Alabi, AFUNTADE 1, has expressed his unhappiness over the failed portion of Ilawe to Ado Ekiti road in Ekiti State to the Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
In a statement issued on Tuesday morning, and signed by his media adviser, High Chief Ajibade Olubunmi, and sent to our correspondent, the monarch urged the governor to take decisive action to fix the failed portion of the Ilawe to Ado Ekiti road.
He appealed to Oyebanji to take urgent action in repairing the caved-in portion of Ado-Ilawe road that occurred four months ago, which has brought agony to the people of the town and all motorists plying the route.
While commending the state government for embarking on the repairs of the failed drainage in another area of the road, he urged the government to direct the site contractor to immediately commence work on the big gulf, which has become a death trap.
On the forthcoming general elections, the monarch urged all politicians in Nigeria to avoid resorting to thuggery even as he advised politicians in his domain to stop unwarranted infighting, which he described as “Crab Mentality”, which won’t benefit anyone.
While appraising developments in the outgoing year and reeling out projections for the new year 2023, he commended Ilawe people for their cooperation and urged them to continue the good work in the new year.
