EKEDC unveils new complaint centres to improve service delivery

Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC), on Tuesday, launched four new Customer Complaint Centres (CCC) to provide seamless consumer experience and improved service delivery.

The unveiling of the complaint centres was part of activities marking the 2022 Customer Service Week, with the theme “Celebrate Service.” The centres are located at Onike, Ajegunle, Ajangbadi and Badagry.

Speaking at the Onike centre, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of EKEDC, Dr Tinuade Sanda, said that it was part of the strategies to ensure that quality service was delivered to customers conveniently.

This, she said, was based on the company’s passion to be value-driven and responsive in its operations.

“The opening of these centres is part of our strategy to improve services to customers across our operational network.

“We want to ensure that when we deliver service to our customers, we deliver quality service in terms of safety in energy delivery.

“We also believe in convenience and we thought of bringing service closer to the people with these touch point centres,” she said.

Sanda urged customers to take advantage of the various complaint centres by giving feedbacks and information whenever they notice theft, vandalism, fraud or inappropriate behaviour by the company’s members of staff.

She also encouraged customers to key into the mobile Meter Asset Provider (MAP) exercise targeted at providing meters within 72 hours of payment by visiting any of the district offices.

Reeling out the activities lined up for the celebration of the customer service week, Sanda said that the team would embark on a humanitarian outreach to schools within the company’s distribution network, with donations of school materials and other items.

“We will be giving out 3,330 exercise books and 330 school bags to pupils in 22 primary schools across 11 business districts within our franchise network.

“We will also be donating 500 reflective jackets to traffic police and LASTMA officers and there will be a quiz and debate competition for secondary school students,” she said.
