Eight teams to compete in Dozy Mmobuosi, NPFL Super Cup competition
The Nigeria Premier Football League has reduced the number of participating teams for The Dozy Mmobuosi pre-season Super Cup.
The adjustment was made towards sustaining the tempo of the competition.
According to the organisers, the number of teams will reduce from 12 to 8 or twelve to eight teams.
“We firmly believe that this change will allow for a more concentrated display of skill, intensify competition among the top teams and ultimately enhance the fan experience,” the statement read.
“Our priority continues to be delivering a thrilling and memorable Super Cup and playing a role in further developing the football infrastructure.
Shooting Stars won the maiden edition of the pre-season tournament.
