Dr Ibiyemi urged the Muslim faithful to intensify their prayers for Nigeria for the continued peace, progress, and development of the country.
In his goodwill message to the Muslim faithful on Wednesday, he enjoined them to continue to imbibe the virtues of love, tolerance, and harmony in their relations with other citizens of the country regardless of their tribe and religious affiliations.
He also urged them to be prayerful in all their engagement and have interest of the country at heart, adding that they should desist from all acts that are inimical to the continue existence of the country before, during and after the festival period.
“As my Muslim brothers and sisters celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival, let us embrace love, tolerance, and harmony without which our unity, as a nation, will be impossible.
“This is a season of love, which we must show to one another regardless of our ethnic and religious affiliations.
“Nigeria is currently facing insecurity challenge. However, your earnest prayers to Allah can go a long way to deliver Nigeria from the host of problems that confront the nation.
“Pray for unity, peace, progress, and the development of Nigeria. Pray for the leaders that they might sail the ship of the nation to the promised land”, Ibiyemi said.
He therefore, urged Nigerians to support administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu to take the country to an enviable height especially in the on going reforms the president embarked on.
