Eid-el-Fitri: Chief Imam urges Muslim faithful to sustain lessons of Ramadan

The Chief Imam of Ifeland, Alhaji Abdulsemiu Abdulhammed, has charged Muslim faithful to sustain the lessons of Ramadan among which are patience and generosity and obedience to Allah as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitri.

The Chief Imam gave the charge during the Eid prayer at Yeed Ground, opposite Technical College,Ifewara Road, Ilode, Ile-Ife.

He counselled them to emulate Prophet Muhammed’s (SAW) attitude of perseverance, endurance, love, hospitality and uphold the pillars of Islam.

AlhajiAbdulhammed called on Muslim faithful to work with the fear of Allah and also to maintain peace and harmony with all and sundry.

The Chief Imam enjoined the Muslims not to go back to their forsaken sins during Ramadan, but to maintain the holy life forever, for therein Allah would prosper their ways.

He also urged the government to ease the sufferings of Nigerians and ensure the security of lives and properties.

“We have received training on how to exercise patience during the fasting; the month has come and gone, we have forsaken sins during Ramadan, fasting during the day, waking up at midnight.

“This has taught us that life is easy and small, let’s continue helping the needy and abide by the dos and don’ts of Islam.

“If everyone has the fear of Allah in executing their activities, Nigeria would be better,” he admonished.
