The President of the 8th Nigerian Senate, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, on Wednesday has expressed strong hope that the valuable lessons learned during Ramadan will guide the Muslim Ummah on the path of righteousness, piety, and devotion.

The Waziri Ngeri of Ilorin Emirate, Dr Saraki, also expressed strong belief that the prayers and supplication offered during the thirty days Ramadan period has been granted by Allah, for a positive turnaround.

According to Saraki’s Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, the former Senate President stated this in his Eid-el-fitr message, issued in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he is taking part in Umrah, the lesser Hajj.

Saraki expressed joy and gratitude to Allah, to be able to partake in this year’s Ramadan fasting and also perform Umrah with his personal driver, Mr. Shuaibu, and some other personal aides.

The Waziri Ngeri of Ilorin Emirate, noted that he, alongside his entourage devoted time to pray for families, friends, loved ones, his home state, Kwara, and the nation as a whole.

While wishing the Muslim Ummah happy Eid-el-fitr celebration, the media aide added that an excited Saraki further sought Allah’s (SWT) infinite guidance, favour and protection over Muslim adherents and Nigerians at large.

The message read, “I feel truly blessed and infinitely grateful to Almighty Allah (SWT) for the successful completion of the Holy Month and for granting me another wonderful opportunity to be in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Umrah, the lesser Hajj.

“This morning, as I joined the Ummah for Eid prayers, I kept my family, friends, loved ones, home state, and our entire nation in my prayers.

“Being able to perform Umrah with Mr. Shuaibu, my personal driver, and a few of my aides has also been a remarkable experience.

“I feel blessed to have embarked on this spiritual journey and to share these memories with such a close-knit team.

“As we continue to pray for Almighty Allah’s (SWT) guidance, I pray that the valuable lessons learned during Ramadan guide us on the path of righteousness, piety, and devotion.

“May Allah’s (SWT) infinite favour and protection be with us all,” he prayed.
