As the residents of Mushin geared up for Eid-Fitri festivities, Hon. Emmanuel Bamigboye, the Executive Chairman, orchestrated a heartwarming gesture by distributing packs of food items and cash to the elderly, widows, and less privileged individuals in the community.

This initiative aims to ensure that they can partake in the celebrations with joy and comfort.

Expressing gratitude to the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo Olu, for his support towards grassroots intervention programs, Hon. Bamigboye emphasised the importance of providing relief to the elderly population.

He highlighted the inevitable nature of ageing and underscored the significance of social and financial support in enhancing their well-being.

During the event, Hon. Bamigboye also inaugurated the newly renovated and well-furnished council hall, adorned with state-of-the-art interior designs.

He urged senior citizens to prioritise their health by enrolling in the Lagos State Health Insurance Scheme (Ilera Eko) and to manage the resources provided to them responsibly.

The gathering witnessed the participation of various stakeholders from the Mushin community, including representatives from different political parties, community and religious leaders, APC leaders, and political office holders, reflecting the communal spirit and unity within the locality.
