The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede reaffirmed the Commission’s unwavering commitment to intensify the battle against economic and financial crimes and corruption.

He made this declaration during a solidarity visit by representatives of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) to the EFCC’s headquarters in Abuja.

Olukoyede emphasised that combating corruption is a shared responsibility among all stakeholders in the fight against corruption.

He assured the students that the EFCC would persist in its efforts, urging them to actively participate in this critical mission.

“It is our collective responsibility to combat corruption in Nigeria. The EFCC will spare no effort in this fight. We are committed to ensuring accountability from leaders at all levels of government,” Olukoyede said.

He called on Nigerian youths to join hands with the EFCC, describing them as crucial allies in promoting integrity and accountability across the nation.

In response, Senator Akinteye Babatunde, NANS’s Senate President, expressed strong support for the EFCC’s anti-corruption crusade. He condemned internet fraud and urged all Nigerians to unite in combating corruption, highlighting its detrimental effects on the country’s reputation and economic stability.

“In solidarity with the EFCC, we denounce all forms of corruption and internet fraud. These practices tarnish our nation’s image and undermine our global standing,” Babatunde stated emphatically.

He called for a unified national response to tackle corruption effectively, stressing that it affects every Nigerian and demands concerted efforts to combat it comprehensively.
