EEDC Ready to Improve Services to Customers –  Official

Mr Emeka Ezeh, Head, Corporate Communications, Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC (EEDC), has assured of the company’s willingness to offer quality service to its customers in Awka district, Anambra.

Eze said this in an interview with Newsmen on Friday in Awka.

He, however, informed consumers of planned outage of electricity following intention of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to carry out maintenance programme in some areas from March 4.

Eze said that the maintenance would begin on 132KV, 2X60MVA power transformers at Agu Awka Transmission Station.

He said that the exercise would enable the TCN maintenance team to top up oil on the TR1 60MVA conservator from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm.

He stated that the maintenance would affect all outgoing feeders in Enugu-Ukwu, Aguleri, ABS and Agu-Awka Injection substations.

Eze said that subsequently customers at Roban Stores, Albertina Showroom, Deo Gold Hotel, Prince Paradise, Golfin Agro, Zipco Hotel, Tony Silver Industries, Ogene FM, Anambra State Secretariat and Ifite Awka would be affected.

Others are: Umuayom, Umunnoke, Umuoramma, Umuokpu, Achallaoji, Umunamoke, Agbana, Umudiaba, Amachalla, Amudo, Umuzocha, GRA, Agu Awka, Amansea, Ifite Road, Egbeagu, Umuokpara, Orede, Holy Family, Ebenebe, Ugbenu and Ugbene.

Also customers at Awba, Ofemmiri, Okpuno, Mgbakwu, Umudunu, Abagana, Orofia, Eziawutolo, Amaenye, Ukpo, and Abba would be out of supply.

Eze expressed regret for the inconveniences it might cause its esteemed customers and gave the assurance that supply would be restored as soon as the maintenance was completed.
